Yet, Freedom, Equality and Human rights are constantly threatened at home and abroad. By nations fundamentally opposed to the ideals of individual liberty and human equality. By nations that seek the control and destruction of others. And by ignorance, apathy and agenda within our own society seeking to undermine American Values and the preservation of liberty for humanity.

A Legacy of Liberty Revered Around the World

Yet at home their lives and legacies are being forgotten; by a society that naively believes ALL nations share our values of free speech, equality, social justice, freedom

They were teenagers and twenty-somethings. From families big and small. Some knew privilege. Many knew prejudice and poverty. They held college degrees and 2nd grade educations. They were White, Black, brown, and "In-between".

Though these circumstances shaped their lives. Their character defined their legacies;

When called, they answered as soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Merchant Marines. The first Maryland casualty at Pearl Harbor; The leading Ace of the China, Burma, India Theatre. They stormed the beach at Omaha; Airborne at Normandy, Flight crew at Midway. Taken prisoner at the Battle of the Bulge; Killed in Action on Guadalcanal; Fought and died on Iwo Jima. Death-marched at Bataan, fought hand-to-hand and house-to-house combat liberating Jebsheim; Their bombers went down in flames over the South pacific with no trace of aircraft nor crew ever found. They were "unstoppable" tank commanders liberating Europe from the Nazis. Given a furlough they were KIA refusing to leave their battalion; They died on land, in the air, and at sea for Liberty. Buried in cemeteries across Europe and Asia, and many among the missing in action - their graves known only to God

Liberty and "Human Rights" exist ONLY in nations that value the sanctity of humanity - and are willing and able to defend it
